LET'S MAKE THE RIGHT DECISION
In 2012, City Council narrowly voted
for a surface Light Rail Transit (LRT)
on Sheppard Avenue east of Don Mills instead of continuing the underground Sheppard Subway.
Metrolinx plans to build the Sheppard East LRT as part of their “Big Move” despite the original 1992 Environmental Assessment and City Council’s 1986 decision to build
the Sheppard Subway line to Scarborough Town Centre.
We encourage the residents of Toronto to take action by urging your local elected officials and candidates for Toronto City Council and the Ontario Legislature to make the right decision to abandon the plan to build a surface “LRT” along Sheppard and revert to the original plan to extend the Sheppard Subway underground from Don Mills to Scarborough Town Centre and the planned Scarborough Subway
